GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The seventh-ranked Florida lacrosse team plays host to a Top-10 matchup on Saturday when the No. 6 Maryland Terrapins come to town.

Opening draw is slated for 12 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Fans that cannot be in attendance can watch the game on ESPN+ with Sean Salisbury on the call.

This is the ninth meeting between the Gators and the Terrapins, with Maryland leading the series 7-1.

Florida is looking to bounce back after dropping its last contest to No. 1 North Carolina 12-5 last Saturday, while Maryland is coming off a midweek win against Drexel.

  *   Maryland’s current Director of Operations, Nadine Hadnagy, served as Florida’s assistant coach from 2018-2021. She coached the Gators defense and helped lead the team to four conference championships and two NCAA Quarterfinal appearances. Florida went 55-16 in Hadnagy’s four years on the staff in Gainesville
Scouting the Terrapins

  *   Maryland is currently ranked No. 6 in the ILWCA/ILWomen Top-25 Poll after starting the season 2-1
  *   Through the first three games of the season, Eloise Clevenger (3g, 8a) and Libby May (9g, 1a) have registered 11 and 10 points, respectively. Hannah Leubecker has recorded nine points of her own on eight goals and one assist, while both Jordyn Lipkin (5g, 1a) and Chrissy Thomas (3g, 3a) have each tallied six points in the first three contests
  *   Shaylan Ahearn is leading the way for the Terps in the draw circle, coming up with 22 draw controls. Abby Bosco has added 11 of her own in the first three games
  *   Defensively, the Terps have totaled 14 caused turnovers as a squad. Clancy Rheude and Kennedy Major each have a team-best three CTs, while Abby Bosco and Aiden Peduzzi have both totaled two caused turnovers to kick off the year
  *   In the cage, Emily Sterling has each three decisions for Maryland. She has come up with 20 saves in her 169:16 in the cage, allowing 32 goals. Julia Hammerschlag – former Gator – has seen 10:44 between the pipes, allowing two goals
