GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The NCAA Tournament returns to Gainesville as the seventh-seeded Florida lacrosse team welcomes Mercer, Jacksonville and Stanford to Donald R. Dizney Stadium for the opening weekend of NCAA Tournament play.

Florida will be back in the friendly confines of The Diz on Friday, taking on the Mercer Bears at 5 p.m. That game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Approximately 45 minutes after the matchup between the Gators and the Bears, Jacksonville will take on Stanford under the lights.

The winner of each of the first round matchups will face off Sunday at 4 p.m. for a chance to make the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Florida is riding a 13-game win streak into the NCAA Tournament, winning both the AAC regular season conference championship and the tournament championship en route to the automatic bid and one of the Top-8 seeds.

Mercer (14-4) earned its way into the tournament after defeating both Furman and High Point for the Big South Championship.

  *   The Bears earned the Big South’s automatic bid after topping High Point 16-13 early Sunday afternoon
  *   Florida and Mercer have faced off twice in program history, with the Gators holding the 2-0 series advantage. The two squads competed for the first time a season ago in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, with Florida picking up the 23-5 victory
