UF LAX | Gators-Dolphins Set for Final Non-Conference Bout of Season

The in-state rivalry is slated for a 7 p.m. start on ESPN+

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The eighth-ranked Florida lacrosse team (12-3, 4-1 AAC) hits the road on Wednesday for an in-state rivalry game against the Jacksonville Dolphins (9-6, 5-1 ASUN).

This is Florida’s final non-conference game of the regular season and it is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Rock Stadium. Fans not in attendance can catch the game on ESPN+.

This is the 14th meeting between the Gators and the Dolphins, with Florida leading the series 12-1. Florida is 5-1 against JU in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Gators have held Jacksonville to an average of 7.69 goals per game, including a series-low three goals in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on May 16, 2021. Meanwhile, the Gators are averaging 16.31 goals per game, with the series-high 21 goals coming twice: once in the 2014 matchup on Feb. 12 in Gainesville, then again in the 2017 game on Feb. 27 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Florida is coming off a 22-6 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday, while Jacksonville topped Queens 27-6 in its last contest.
