UF Health and Gators Athletics Collaborate to Offer Vaccination Opportunity Before Florida Atlantic Game

Fans will have the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccination before the Gators kickoff against the Owls.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Through a collaborative effort between UF Health and the Gators Athletics department, fans will have the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine before the Florida football team takes on Florida Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4.

UF Health Screen, Test & Protect will have two vaccination sites: one in front of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center and another at Gate 12 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, which is located on the east side. The locations will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

UF Health and Gators Athletics previously worked together to support a COVID-19 testing and vaccination site at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium throughout the past year.

UF Health experts say COVID-19 vaccines help our bodies develop immunity to the virus that causes COVID-19 and reduce the risk of serious illness and hospitalization. After Saturday’s game, vaccine availability can be found at UFHealth.org/FLVaccines.
