Entering the weekend series, the Gators have won 15 of their last 17 games at Florida Ballpark including nine of their last ten. Overall, Florida is 13-4 over their previous 17 games, notching wins in five of their last seven matchups. With a 15-9 SEC record in hand, the Gators sit in sole possession of third place in the SEC East standings and are two games behind Tennessee for the top spot in the division.

LAST TIME OUT
Although the Gators dropped their final midweek contest of the season at Stetson this past Tuesday, the Gators are coming off of a road series win at Kentucky last weekend. En route to going 2-1 against the Wildcats, the Gators rebounded from a game one loss (7-5) to take the final two matchups (8-5, 9-2) and claim their fourth consecutive series victory. In game two, outfielder Jud Fabian<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__floridagators.com_roster.aspx-3Frp-5Fid-3D14217&d=DwIF-g&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=hkTAxhvJGR9qucPueHWnj3zrVfOErsapACx1Oavhmic&s=hgpZmi_ljWQIvgQBBdOpRgHYlOnw0Q_VWqNSbqOos5w&e= > launched two home runs and drove in three, while first baseman/outfielder Kendrick Calilao<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__floridagators.com_roster.aspx-3Frp-5Fid-3D14215&d=DwIF-g&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=hkTAxhvJGR9qucPueHWnj3zrVfOErsapACx1Oavhmic&s=QY4nVKbFwnvsI1FWBVJyE6j_vRInnwqnoiiNoIW5h3w&e= > provided a go-ahead three-run homer in the ninth to finish 2-for-2 with four RBI in the win. HERE COMES THE JUD
Preseason All-American Fabian is currently tied for second in the SEC and third in the nation with 18 home runs after registering his third two-homer game of the season in game two at Kentucky last weekend. Meanwhile, his 112 total bases on the year are good for third in the conference and tied for 25th in the country. Over Florida’s last 15 games, things have clicked for Fabian at the plate to the tune of a .365/.507/.885 batting line, including a team-high seven home runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases over the course of that span. Perhaps most worthy of note, Fabian owns an 11-to-16 strikeout-to-walk ratio during that time, allowing him to improve his season slash line to .268/.387/.626. The third-year outfielder also ranks fifth in the SEC in slugging percentage (.626), fifth in walks (36), ninth in runs scored (46) and 13th in RBI (44).

GOING STREAKING
Fabian has reached base in 23 consecutive games dating back to April 2 against Ole Miss, while McMullen currently owns an active on-base streak of 20 games. During their respective streaks, Fabian is slashing .304/.441/.759 while McMullen has batted at a .297/.404/.473 clip. Young (15 games) and Cory Acton<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__floridagators.com_roster.aspx-3Frp-5Fid-3D14209&d=DwIF-g&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=hkTAxhvJGR9qucPueHWnj3zrVfOErsapACx1Oavhmic&s=HxEnqqlTOqFLONg87lW_2LOYCUUUfxizrZse5Q-jqh8&e= > (11 games) boast active double-digit on-base streaks heading into the series opener as well. All four streaks are the longest of the 2021 season for each player.

CALI-LOUD
Entering as an eighth-inning pinch hitter with Florida down 4-3 in game two against Kentucky last weekend, Calilao put the Gators on his back. After working a full count, Calilao singled in Jordan Carrion<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__floridagators.com_roster.aspx-3Frp-5Fid-3D14239&d=DwIF-g&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=hkTAxhvJGR9qucPueHWnj3zrVfOErsapACx1Oavhmic&s=D9sXIsEa7YJ5YgjGh2Z-Vdkq3zbrF7jHe2I5Ch23yc8&e= > to tie the game up in the eighth before winning it in the top of the ninth with a two-out, three-run home run to left-center. In game three, Calilao earned the start in right field and proceeded to go 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI to power Florida to a series-clinching victory in Lexington.

BARCO DAY EQUALS WINNING WAYS
In his most recent start, Barco fired 6.2 scoreless innings at Kentucky, allowing just two hits and one walk while tying his career high in strikeouts with 10. As a result, Barco improved to 8-2 on the season and 5-0 across his previous six starts dating back to April 3 versus Ole Miss. Across those six starts, Barco leads the Gators with a 3.03 ERA, 32.2 innings, 33 strikeouts and a .231 BAA. Barco has been even better over his previous four starts, going 4-0 with a 2.66 ERA, a .200 BAA and 25 strikeouts in 23.2 frames of work. The southpaw has not lost a start since March 28 at South Carolina.
