TULSA – Tulsa (4-8-5, 2-2-4) scored four goals in the 2nd half to come away with a 4-2 victory over UAB on Sunday afternoon.
The Blazers (6-5-5, 2-2-4 AAC) got on the board first when Lauren Lucero took control of the ball and placed it perfectly in the upper left corner in the 3rd minute. The Blazers added to its lead when Jolie St Louis took a Jessica Wheeler pass and dribbled past Tulsa keeper Tatum Sanders for a wide open score in the 26th minute.
The Golden Hurricane got on the board in the 58th minute on Ashlyn Fernandez’s goal. They got the equalizer in the 75th minute by Liliana Fernandez and the game-winner in the 78th on Ashlyn Fernandez’s second of the contest. Leah Diaz added a goal in the 81st minute.
The Blazers wrap up the regular season at home against Temple Oct. 26.
