UAB Women’s Soccer Visits Old Dominion

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women’s soccer team hits the road for the first time in Conference USA play on Sunday afternoon when they visit Old Dominion. Kickoff at the ODU Soccer Complex is scheduled for 3 p.m. (ET)/2 p.m. (CT).

UAB LATELY    
UAB opened C-USA play with a 2-0 victory over LA Tech at BBVA Field. Asha Zuniga and Lexxe Lipsey each scored for the Blazers while Anika Toth earned a clean sheet by making three stops. 

ODU LATELY    
The Monarchs began C-USA play with a 2-0 victory at UTSA. Morgan Hall and Emily Garrick found the back of the net for ODU. Kasey Perry made five saves for the shutout

THE SERIES VS. ODU    
The teams have met four times, with ODU holding a slight 2-1-1 advantage. The teams last met during the 2019 season and played to a 2-2 draw.

COMMON OPPONENTS    
The teams have three common opponents this season – Middle Tennessee, WKU and UTSA.

UP NEXT    
The Blazers return home to face WKU (6-1-0, 1-0-0 C-USA). The Toppers defeated Marshall 2-1 in OT on Sept. 16 and host Middle Tennessee on Sunday evening.
