UAB Women’s Soccer Opens 2021 Season at Chattanooga

BIRMINGHAM –The UAB women’s soccer team opens up its 2021 slate at Chattanooga on Thursday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. (CST)/6 p.m. (EST).  
 
THE SERIES VS. CHATTANOOGA
Thursday’s match will be the fourth time the Blazers and Mocs have met. The first meeting was in UAB’s first year of competition in 1996. After an 18 year hiatus, the teams had a home-and-home series in 2014 and 2015. UAB leads the all-time series 2-1-0.
 
UAB VS. SOCON
The Blazers have had success against teams currently in the SoCon, going 12-5-4 all-time.

A QUICK GLANCE AT UAB
2021 sees the Blazers return 20 players and eight starters on the roster. The top three scorers from 2020-21 are back in Lexxe LipseyStella Kiss and Laura Zemberyova.

The 2021-22 Gold Card will get you access to all home events for Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for Conference USA or NCAA Championship events.
