UAB (13-12, 6-8 C-USA) dropped its fourth straight contest on Feb. 21 after a 60-55 setback against Rice.
UTSA LATELY
UTSA (6-19, 3-11 C-USA) is currently in seventh place in C-USA West Division. The Roadrunners are coming off a 59-49 win against LA Tech on Feb. 19 and which snapped a six-game losing streak.
UAB AND UTSA HISTORY
The series began in 2014 when UTSA joined Conference USA. After splitting the series’ first four games, UAB won the next five before the Roadrunners’ overtime win on Jan. 1. The teams have met once in the C-USA Championship with the Blazers defeating the Roadrunners last season. UAB leads the series 7-3 and 3-1 at Bartow Arena.

Zakyia Weathersby recorded a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds, but it was UTSA who came away with a 68-60 overtime victory on Jan. 1, 2022.

She’s second in the league in blocks per game and total blocks (1.88/45) and is fourth in field goals made (146).

Both Weathersby (Chicago State/Chattanooga) and Caitlynn Daniels (Mississippi Valley State) each have a 28-point game under their belts this year.
WORLD CLASS KLACZEK
Emily Klaczek set a career-high with 26 points in UAB’s 86-70 win over WKU on Jan. 27. She scored 16 points in the 2nd quarter, going 5-for-5 from the field, 4-of-4 from 3-point range and a pair of foul shots.
EIGHT IS ENOUGH
In Daniels career day against MVSU, she drained eight 3-pointers. This is the most in C-USA this season and tied for the 11th most in the NCAA this season.
