UAB WBB Faces Spring Hill in Exhibition Game on Friday


BIRMINGHAM
 – The UAB women’s basketball team will host Spring Hill College in an exhibition game on Friday night at Bartow Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
Admission to Friday night’s exhibition is free of charge. Tickets will be available on game day only by coming to the UAB Athletics Ticket Office located at Bartow Arena. Fans can also follow the game via live stats here. The game will not be streamed.
 
ABOUT THE 2021-22 BLAZERS
UAB returns five starters from last season’s team including three All-Conference USA honorees in Zakyia Weathersby (Second Team), Margaret Whitley (Second Team) and Caitlynn Daniels (All-Freshman). In all, 11 players from last year’s team are back along with four newcomers.
 
ABOUT SPRING HILL
Spring Hill College is a Division II school located in Mobile, Ala. The Badgers are members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. SHC fell to South Alabama 85-49 on Nov. 1 in a preseason contest. Ariel Thompson led Spring Hill with 17 points and Tyashia Bostick added 14. Lindi DeBilzan pulled down 10 rebounds.       
 
UP NEXT
UAB’s regular season opens on Nov. 10 against Shorter College at Bartow Arena at 6 p.m. Fans who bring printed or mobile ticket from the Nov. 9 UAB men’s basketball ticket will get free admission to the Shorter contest.

Women’s Basketball season tickets are on sale by purchasing the 2021-22 Gold Card for $65 here. The 2021-22 Gold Card will get you access to all home events for Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for Conference USA or NCAA Championship events.
 
INDIVIDUAL TICKETS
Tickets for individual games can be purchased here. Tickets are $5 for adults or $3 for those 18 or younger.
 
UAB BASKETBALL AT BARTOW ARENA
UAB requires wearing a mask indoors – regardless of vaccine status – unless actively eating or drinking and encourages masks during outdoor events, alongside regular handwashing.
