UAB Men’s Soccer Draws with Lipscomb in Exhibition

BIRMINGHAM-UAB men’s soccer team draws in their exhibition with Lipscomb 1-1.

“I didn’t think we started off well and that continues to be an issue for us,” said head coach Jeff Kinney. “However, we bounced back and showed some grit in the second half.  We are always pushing to win these exhibition matches, but we took the opportunity to play a lot of players in some different spots to see how they would do against a good opponent. It is always good to fight back from behind to earn the draw, but we need to find ways to not dig ourselves in holes.”

Quick Hits

  • Lipscomb had 18 shots with eight shots on goal
  • UAB had seven shots with two shots on goal
  • Grayson Dupont scored one goal in the 72nd minute
