BIRMINGHAM – UAB (16-12, 7-8 C-USA) will host Marshall for the second time this season on Thursday night as part of C-USA Bonus Play. The Blazers and Thundering Herd tipoff at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN3.
UAB AND MARSHALL
UAB and Marshall began their series with a nonconference home-and-home series in 2003 and 2004. The teams split the games. Their first Conference USA matchup was in 2006. The Blazers and Thundering Herd have met once in the C-USA Championship – a 53-52 win for the Herd in 2008.
ABOUT MARSHALL
Marshall (14-14, 8-7 C-USA) is coming off a pair of wins over UTEP and Old Dominion. The Thundering Herd is 4-8 in road games this season, including a 61-50 loss to UAB on Jan. 11. Taevion Kinsey leads Marshall with 15.9 points per game, which is sixth in C-USA.

UAB FOOTBALL TO BE RECOGNIZED
UAB’s 2019 C-USA West Division Champion football team will be recognized during halftime of the game. The team will be featured on court during halftime as the team prepares for 2020 spring practice which starts February 29.
