UAB Falls to South Carolina 6-0

COLUMBIA, S.C. –South Carolina scored in the fourth minute and never looked back in its 6-0 victory over UAB on Saturday afternoon.

You have to give credit to South Carolina for getting off to a quick start and taking their chances well,” said head coach Jeff Kinney. “As a staff, we will be reevaluating what we need to do in order to find more consistency out of our young group of players. Some of that will come with experience but being consistent is extremely important to taking the next steps as a program and we are not there yet.”

The Blazers fall to 3-10-1 overall, 1-3-1 in Conference USA play while South Carolina improves to 7-6-1, 1-3-1 C-USA.

Although South Carolina came out with a quick goal, UAB did not let that discourage them. Within three minutes of the USC goal, the Blazers has two chances for the equalizer on shots by Cale Loughrey sixth minute and Aodhán O’Hara in the seventh minute.
