Two Home Exhibition Matches for Gators Soccer This Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators soccer kicks off their 2022 schedule by playing host to a pair of exhibition matches at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium<https://floridagators.com/sports/2020/4/4/donald-r-dizney-stadium.aspx>.

Florida vs. North Florida     Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m.
Florida vs. Tampa               Friday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m.

For Fans Attending the Exhibitions:

  *   Dizney Stadium gates open 60 minutes prior to match time
  *   Admission is free for all Florida soccer regular-season matches

Welcome to Coach Bohon
Samantha Bohon opens her Gator coaching career this fall. Bohon joined the Gators in May after spending the last 15 seasons at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, Fla. While with Embry-Riddle, Bohon coached four consecutive Sun Conference Tournament champion teams and after the program transitioned to NCAA Division II, finished with the last two Sunshine State Tournament titles, advancing to NCAA DII Tournament action both seasons.

About the 2022 Gators:

  *   The 2022 Gators consists of 25 players, including seven freshmen and two transfers. Florida returns nine with three or more starts in last season’s 20-match schedule. 2022 Gator Roster<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster>

  *   Three 2021 Gator goal scorers return in 2022 – senior Alivia Gonzalez (2 goals, 1 assist), junior Julianne Leskauskas (2g, 1a) and sophomore Madison Young (1g). Five others turned in two assists in 2021. Florida’s roster includes three goalkeepers, including junior Alexa Goldberg who started every match of 2021.
