Two Gator gymnasts earn WCGA Regular-Season All-America honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida freshman Anya Pilgrim and junior Leanne Wong earned a combined total of five Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) regular-season All-America honors in 2024. This is the 12th year the WCGA has recognized regular-season All-Americans.

Final national qualifying scores (NQS) in the Road to Nationals<https://roadtonationals.com/results/standings/season/2023/11/0/5> rankings determines the WCGA All-Americans. The top eight gymnasts on each event and the all-around receive first-team honors and gymnasts Nos. 9-16 receive second-team honors with all ties included.

Gator 2024 All-Americans
Junior Leanne Wong earns first-team honors for uneven bars for the third consecutive season. In addition, Wong claims second team honors for balance beam and all-around. She’s now an 18-time All-American (8 NCAA / 10 WCGA regular season).

Of the nation’s five freshmen All-Americans, only Anya Pilgrim earned multiple All-American honors. She earned second-team honors in all-around and vault.

Both Pilgrim (Barbados) and Wong (U.S.) competed in the 2023 FIG World Championships in Belgium last October, with Wong winning gold with Team U.S.A.

* Nation’s only freshman with multiple 2024 WCGA All-America honors

* Owns nation’s top two freshmen all-around totals of 2024 – 39.675 (March 3 at Kentucky) and 39.65 (Feb. 23 vs LSU). Leader with seven of the nation’s top 20 freshmen all-around totals.

* Earned Freshman All-SEC honors by tying for eighth in all-around (39.50) and fourth for vault (9.90)

* Only freshman in nation to earn a floor exercise 10.0 this season (at Kentucky – March 3). One of four freshmen with a 10.0 in 2024.

* Five time SEC Freshman of the Week, including four consecutive

* Collegiate bests: 10.0 (floor 1x), 9.975 (beam 1x), 9.95 (vault 2x, floor 1x), 39.675 (all-around)

* Eight event wins – vault (3), floor (2), all-around, bars & beam (1)
