Tigers Announce 2022 Opening Day Roster

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced their 28-man roster for 2022 Opening Day. 

The Tigers Opening Day roster consists of 15 pitchers, three catchers, five infielders, four outfielders and one utility player. Detroit opens the 2022 season tomorrow at Comerica Park against the Chicago White Sox with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on Bally Sports Detroit and also air on 97.1 The Ticket and the Tigers Radio Network. The game will also be simulcast on FOX 2 in Detroit. 

The Tigers 28-man Opening Day roster is as follows: 

PITCHERS (15): Tyler Alexander, Jacob Barnes, Jason Foley, Michael Fulmer, Rony García, Drew Hutchison, Joe Jiménez, Alex Lange, Matt Manning, Casey Mize, Eduardo Rodriguez, Elvin Rodriguez, Tarik Skubal, Gregory Soto, Will Vest 

CATCHERS (3): Tucker Barnhart, Dustin Garneau, Eric Haase 

INFIELDERS (5): Javier Báez, Miguel Cabrera, Jeimer Candelario, Jonathan Schoop, Spencer Torkelson 

OUTFIELDERS (4): Akil Baddoo, Robbie Grossman, Austin Meadows, Victor Reyes
