In 2013, he was a finalist for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association Stopper of the Year Award and was a Louisville Slugger first-team All-America selection. Lorenzen was originally drafted by Cincinnati in the first round (38th overall) of the 2013 MLB Draft.
Lorenzen and his wife, Cassi, reside in Newport Beach, CA with their daughter, June.
