The Detroit Lions Knock Green Bay Out Of The Playoffs, And Kill The SOL Narrative

We watched the Rams lose in a more than questionable fashion. Which dashed the Lions playoff hopes. But, they didn’t care and took care of business in Green Bay, Wisconsin versus the Packers.

Neither team started off that great offensively. Holding each other to Field Goals the first half with a halftime score of 6-9 with the Packers with the lead. But Detroit would receive the ball in the 2nd half.

What a half it was mostly due to complimentary defense and field positional football. Hutchinson made himself a case for DROY with another 2 sacks of Aaron Rodgers. Bringing his season sack total to 9.5, 3 INTs, and 2 Fumble Recoveries on the season. The leader for that award was Sauce Gardner. But Hutchinson has more INTs than that CB.

They continued their excellence using Jamaal Williams in the RZ. Where he surpassed Barry Sanders as the Lions single season TD record holder with 17 TDs.

Kerby Joseoh ended the comeback for the Packers with his 4th pick on the season, and his 3rd of Aaron Rodgers on his rookie campaign.

A 4th down conversion and a kneel down ended the hopes of the Packers playoffs.

Lions went 5-1 in the division with a 9-8 record overall. Same Old Lions died last night with that win.

Because even though they aren’t going to the playoffs for the Lions. They are 2nd overall in the division. The SOL abrasive should be in the rear-view mirror as it’s lowered into the ground.

Final Score

Lions 20

Packers 16
