By: Jeremy T. Ballreich

On Christmas Eve the Detroit Lions went into Minnesota with a chance to clinch the division title of the NFC North for the first time. Also, their first division title since 1993.

The defense actually looked aggressive getting pressure of the Signal caller for the Vikings often. The charge Ifeatu Melifonwu with 2 sacks. The pressure was enough to force Nick Mullins to throw 4 interceptions.

The Lions offense was rolling after midway through the first quarter. Jared Goff did an adequate job with managing the offense. Jahmyr Gibbs was a big factor with 2 rushing TDs. David Montgomery added 1 himself.

The Lions played a little smashmouth run first offense coupled with an aggressive pressure orientated bend don’t break defense.

Results are the Detroit Lions gave fans a Merry Clinchmas with their first NFC North Title.
