A Message From Our President Happy February! We have numerous programs this month to educate, engage and inspire all of you! Congratulations to our Board of Directors on their installation last week at State of the Chamber! The Chamber’s Government & Community Relations committee will be hosting a candidate debate for Coconut Creek Commission on Friday, February 12 at 8:30 AM. There are three seats that will be decided upon at the upcoming election scheduled for March 9. Please join us in learning more about the candidates at this complimentary forum. February is Black History month and I am truly excited and proud to announce that the Chamber’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit will take place on Friday, February 26th. This event, presented by Fiserv will be moderated by Coral Springs Vice Mayor Joshua Simmons and will feature dynamic and engaging speakers. Additional sponsors include the City of Coconut Creek, Baptist Health, Al Hendrickson Toyota and Kelley Kronenberg. The keynote speaker is Alphonso Jackson, former US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The summit will be complimentary and very interactive, through the use of breakout rooms engage in honest conversations. The DEI Summit is complimentary and will also deliver businesses the actual steps needed to increase diversity in their business, resulting in greater innovation and profits. The Chamber is proud to announce the launch our very own Toastmasters group that will be starting on February 5th. Public speaking is a key element for many business owners and employees, which is why we want to provide you with this wonderful opportunity. Please contact Lois Margolin if you are interested.
