  VISIT OUR WEBSITEA Message From Our President March is Women’s History Month and this year’s theme is “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced.” To celebrate International Women’s Day we are having a Multi-Chamber Soiree on Monday, March 8th with seven local Chambers. We have a distinguished panel of professional women who will share their experience and wisdom with us, as we celebrate the International Women’s Day in the company of the region’s most accomplished women. The moderator is Jacey Birch, reporter for WPLG and the event will feature a distinguished panel of local female professionals. Make sure to attend the next session of the Biz Academy on March 4th at 8:30 AM! The class is “The Mindset of a CEO” and guest speakers include Michele Fee, CEO of Cruise Planners, Bernie Moyle, Owner of the Country Club of Coral Springs and Rick Langnas, President/CEO of United Medco Pharmaceuticals. The March Wake Up breakfast is going to be a themed “Speed Networking” event. Until we are back in person this is an exceptional networking experience that will provide you with an exclusive opportunity to develop relationships and grow your network.Last month the Chamber’s Government & Community Relations committee hosted an informative candidate forum for candidates for Coconut Creek Commission. If you are a resident of Coconut Creek please make sure to have your voice heard on March 9. February was Black History Month and we ended the month with the Chamber’s first annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit, which was a huge success. The summit, presented by Fiserv, and sponsored by Al Hendrickson Toyota, City of Coconut Creek, Baptist Health and Kelley Kronenberg, had over 120 attendees that heard from an outstanding panel and participated in breakout sessions with meaningful conversations. Thanks to Coral Springs Vice Mayor Joshua Simmons for moderating this event and to our DEI task force for their efforts! I encourage you to take what you learned at the summit back to your business and implement some of those ideas.The Chamber launched our own Toastmasters group last month.
