Tennis – No. 2 Sharks Defeat No. 4 Lynn, Advance to SSC Finals

BRADENTON, Fla. – The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Women’s Tennis team advanced to the Sunshine State Conference finals on Friday afternoon, defeating No. 4 Lynn in the SSC semifinal 4-1. With the victory, the Sharks will take on No. 1 Barry in the SSC Final on Saturday, April 22.

– Diane Follin-Arbelet and Eva Goncharov opened doubles action with a 6-0 victory over Dolores Molina and Zofia Podbiol.

– Julie Razafindranaly and Karolina Snita defeated Barbora Cibakova and Girogia Pigato 6-1, securing the doubles point for NSU.

How it Happened

(Singles)

– Natalie Espinal picked up a point for the Sharks with a victory over Greta Schieroni [6-2, 6-0].

– Karolina Snita earned another win for NSU, defeating Giorgia Pigato [6-3, 6-4]

– Fatima Bizhukova sealed the victory for Nova Southeastern after taking down Zofia Podbiol [7(7)-6(5), 6-2].
