TDS.com Recognizes Billhardt as One of the Top Midfielders in America

TAMPA (July 17, 2020) – University of South Florida men’s soccer standout Adrian Billhardt was tabbed an honorable mention selection on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s top 10 midfielders in America list.

Billhardt, a rising senior from Berlin, Germany, finished the 2019 campaign as an American Athletic All-Conference Second Team selection, while also being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team. Billhardt finished his junior season as one of the most productive players in the country through the end of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.

Billhardt started in 16 of 18 games played, leading the Bulls with six goals, 13 points, 37 shots, and 18 shots on goal. He was eighth in The American in goals per game (0.37) and tied for 10th in The American in goals scored. Billhardt scored 12 of his 13 points in five of the last seven matches of the season.

Billhardt’s play down the stretch led the Bulls to The American tournament semifinals.  

During the 2019 campaign, USF posted an 11-7-1 record that included a win over No. 5 Louisville and made its 21st NCAA Tournament appearance.
