SWIM – 15 Sharks Named to All-SSC Teams

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced the 2023-24 All-SSC Men’s and Women’s Swimming teams on Thursday afternoon. Overall, 15 Nova Southeastern Sharks were recognized with the honor, including nine All-SSC First-Team selections.

No. 3 Nova Southeastern Women’s Swimming, the 2024 Sunshine State Conference Champions, led the league with nine selections. Emily Trieschmann, the reigning SSC Female Athlete of the Year, repeats as an All-SSC First-Team recipient and is joined by May LowyRafaela RaurichEmilia Ronningdal, and Hailey Williams. The Sharks also had four student-athletes earn Second-Team selections, as Estelle BauerMaria GoncalvesIlaria Murzilli, and Neta Shiff were chosen.

Lowy has repeated as an All-SSC First-Team recipient for the third consecutive season, becoming the 13th SSC women’s swimmer to earn three or more First Team accolades in a career. Ronningdal earns her second career All-SSC First-Team honor following last season, in which, she was crowned the 2022-23 Freshman of the Year. Raurich and Williams earn their first honors.

No. 12 Sharks Men’s Swimming team has six representatives on the All-Conference teams, featuring Luca AlessandriniInigo MarinaKeith Peristeridis, and Marcel Snitko being named to the All-SSC First-Team. Gustav Henriksen was named to the Second-Team, and Thomas Flower was named to the Third-Team.

Alessandrini and Peristeridis add a second First-Team selection to their career, while Marina and Snitko earn their first career nod. Flower is recognized for the second time in his career, being named to the 2022-23 Second-Team, while Henriksen earns his first honor with the selection to the Second-Team.

Nova Southeastern Shark Men’s and Women’s swimmers will represent the programs at the NCAA National Championships from March 12-16 in Geneva, Ohio.
