The Stoneman Douglas High School wrestling team won the Coral Springs Duels. The Eagles defeated Western in the finals. Charles Dion and Lucca Azzarelli performed very well during the tournament. “It takes a tremendous amount of dedication and effort to do well in wrestling. I love competing in wrestling,” said Dion.
Azzarellis agreed. “It takes a lot of dedication to be a good wrestler. You have to work hard every day to be successful,” he said.
Gabby Carro a member of the Eagles team said, “It takes endurance and drive to be a good wrestler,” she said.
Eagles Coach Ken Gendason was pleased with the team’s victory. “The team has been working very hard and we are building a strong program,” he said.
