Seven Newcomers Join FAU Football for Summer Classes

BOCA RATON, Fla. – (May 13, 2019) – Florida Atlantic University football players have returned to campus for summer classes and to participate in voluntary workouts. The collection of returners was joined on Monday by seven newcomers.

The Owls opened their arms to Calvin Ashley (OT), Kelvin Dean, Jr. (RB), Federico Maranges (OL), Larry McCammon III (RB), Rahmod Smith (TE), Adarius Tolliver (OL), and Eddie Williams (LB). The newcomers are a blend of incoming freshmen and transfers. Six are expected to contribute on the offensive side of the ball and one on defense. The majority of the team will be together for the first time in late June. Camp will open in early August and the Owls will open the 2019 season Saturday, Aug. 31 at The Ohio State University.

Nov. 30 vs. Southern Miss, 3:30 p.m.

The Owls will open the 2019 season at The Ohio State University on Saturday, Aug. 31 and will open the home season on Saturday, Sept. 7 versus UCF. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
