S&D: Eight Gators Named to the Men’s and Women’s CSC Academic All-District Teams

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Eight Gators from the men’s and women’s swimming and diving program were named to the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators announced.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

481 women from 134 Division I colleges were selected, while 271 men from 84 Division I schools landed a spot on the Team.

Jake Mitchell, Mason Laur, Eric Brown and Skip Donald were selected on the men’s side, while Emma Weyant, Carina Lumia, Olivia Peoples and Micayla Cronk earned a spot on the women’s team.

Jake Mitchell was selected as the CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23 (women) and April 24 (men).
