SB | Owls Clinch Third Series and Earn Second Sweep

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Florida Atlantic Head Softball Coach Jordan Clark subscribes to “Champions Win on Sunday.” The Owls have taken that to heart by outscoring their American Athletic Conference Sunday opponents 40-10, including an 18-1 five-inning victory over host Memphis on Sunday. FAU clinched their third straight AAC series and second sweep with the win.
The Owls, who improved to 27-7 overall and 8-1 in AAC play, sent 17 batters to the plate in the first inning and ended their first frame holding a 13-0 lead before starter Jaden Martinez took the circle.
While the Owls offense continued to add on runs, Martinez tossed three innings of no-hit softball and gave way to Kelsey Endress, who pitched a clean fourth but was touched for three hits and one run in the fifth and final frame.

“A series sweep in a dominating fashion,” said Head Coach Jordan Clark. “I’m proud of the girls for staying intentional in all parts of the game. We turn the page and start to prepare for Stetson on Tuesday.”

Martinez picked up the win, moving to 3-2 on the year after three innings. She struck out five, walked two and surrendered no hits

The Owls will remain on the road playing at Stetson on Tuesday, Mar. 26 at 5 p.m. FAU will then return home to play host to ECU on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. All three games will air on ESPN+.
