Fans are invited to TIAA Bank Field on Sunday to see the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the New Orleans Saints in the team’s traditional Homecoming Game. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast by CBS locally on WJAX and on radio on WJXL (1010AM, 92.5 FM) and 99.9 FM Gator Country. Sunday’s game is presented by Hanania Auto Group.
LEGENDS IN TEAL
The Jaguars expect to welcome home more than 80 former players to celebrate Homecoming this weekend. At Sunday’s game, Jaguars alumni will be honored during pregame ceremonies with a special recognition of members of the 1995 inaugural season team. At halftime presented by Miller Electric Company, the Jaguars will celebrate 25 years of Jaguars legends with the introduction of the Jaguars All-25. Jaguars All-25 presented by Sharpie is a collection of the top 25 non-active players in franchise history, as voted on by members of the local media. Jaguars legends and fan favorites including LT Tony Boselli, RB Fred Taylor, QB Mark Brunell and WR Jimmy Smith – the four players enshrined in the Pride of the Jaguars – will all be in attendance.
CHARTER MEMBER CLASS PHOTO
The Jaguars will celebrate its most loyal fans on Sunday morning when they host a reunion for charter season ticket members in the Dream Finders Homes Flex Field at Daily’s Place prior to kickoff. Charter members include those fans who have had season tickets since the team’s inaugural season in 1995. A class photo will be taken at 11 a.m. to commemorate 25 years of dedication to the Jaguars. This is an invitation-only event for charter members only, but media are welcome to capture the moment.
PREGAME ENTERTAINMENT
The ROAR of the Jaguars will welcome back more than 175 former members for Homecoming weekend festivities, including a special pregame performance on the field. Afterward, the defensive starters will be introduced individually before the national anthem is performed by the Jacksonville Symphony, conducted by Associate Conductor Gonzalo Farias. Caitlin Brock will interpret for the hearing impaired. The colors will be presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville color guard. A flyover will be performed by the 455th Flying Training Squadron, a United States Air Force unit within the Air Education and Training Command, stationed in NAS Pensacola, Fla.
The Englewood High School football team will be along the north goal line as special guests of the team. The Jaguars and a host of community partners recently surprised the Rams with a $100,000 locker room renovation as a legacy project in celebration of the Jaguars’ 25th season.
This week, TIAA Bank Field welcomes Jaguars.com Senior Correspondent and former play-by-play radio announcer Brian Sexton to lead fans in the First DUUUVAL moments before kickoff from atop the southeast flag pole tower. Sexton has been an employee of the Jaguars for all 25 seasons and is one of only three individuals to have attended every Jaguars game – preseason, regular season and postseason – in the team’s history. The First DUUUVAL is presented by Duval Motor Company.
MILITARY HONOREES
During the game, the Jaguars will honor retired U.S. Marine Corp. Gunnery Sgt. Phil Wright as the Veteran of the Game presented by Dr. Patrick Basile. Wright served 22 years in the armed forces, mobilizing three times and training troops going into both Desert Storm and Desert Shield. The First Data Veteran-Owned Business of the Game is The Admiral’s Daughters represented by its Creative Director, Lindsay Amerault, and its CEO, Jim Amerault, who served 36 years in the U.S. Navy. As the game enters the fourth quarter, the Navy Mutual Bell Ringer will be Major Jeff “Grillzz” Grossman of the 125th Fighter Wing. Grossman has served in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years and is currently an F-15C combat fighter pilot and Flight Commander in the Florida Air National Guard where he’s been assigned the past three years. Grossman has just returned this week from a combat deployment to the Middle East, the fourth deployment of his career.
SECURE DIGITAL TICKETING
In conjunction with Ticketmaster, the Jaguars will utilize secure digital ticketing this season. Fans will continue to utilize the Official Jacksonville Jaguars app to access their mobile tickets on game day. This year, they will now notice that each ticket has a moving barcode. This dynamic barcode updates every 15 seconds, eliminating the ability to use a screenshot as entry to TIAA Bank Field, and further preventing counterfeit tickets. Fans can still conveniently transfer tickets to friends or family via email or text using their mobile device.
Fans are encouraged to download or update the free Official Jacksonville Jaguars app on both Apple and Android devices. The Jaguars have also developed a detailed secure digital ticket guide to aid fans in accessing, transferring or selling their tickets for the upcoming season. FAN EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENTS
After receiving very positive feedback from our fans, the Jaguars have made the new water bottle policy permanent for the remainder of the 2019 season. Each ticketed guest is permitted to bring one, commercially-branded, factory-sealed, plastic bottle of water that is 16.9 oz. or less in size inside the gates at TIAA Bank Field. The team has also made some additional improvements to the stadium entry experience, including the installation of additional points of entry and magnetometers and an increase in ticket scanners and gate staff. Temporary shade structures at each entry will improve digital ticket scanning in bright sunlight. For warm weather games, misting fans will be deployed outside of the gates to increase fan comfort when queueing for entry. The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has provided two cooling buses located on the plaza level at the bases of Ramps 2 and 4 near the Fan Entertainment Zone, where fans can climb aboard and take a few minutes to cool off on a hot day.
BE PREPARED ON GAME DAY
The NFL’s clear bag policy is in effect at TIAA Bank Field. Fans are encouraged to leave all bags at home, but, if necessary, it should be either a clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, or a non-clear bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5.” Strict size enforcement will be in place for all non-clear bags. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and plan for traffic accordingly. Fans should plan to be inside stadium gates at least one hour prior to kickoff.
