Red Wings Set to Host Third Annual Hockeytown Winterfest, Presented by Meijer and Coca-Cola, on Sunday, Feb. 27

Indoor/outdoor festival at Little Caesars Arena features open skating, Red Wings alumni appearances, interactive games, photo opportunities and more DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced details surrounding the third annual Hockeytown Winterfest, Presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer, set for Sunday, Feb. 27 at Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit. Access to the indoor and outdoor festival is free, open to the public and available for fans of all ages.
While admittance to the Hockeytown Winterfest is free, fans are encouraged to reserve a mobile ticket online. To ensure seamless entry to Little Caesars Arena, attendees are also encouraged to load tickets into their mobile wallet before leaving home.
“We’re excited to welcome our tremendous fans back to Little Caesars Arena and The District Detroit for Hockeytown Winterfest,” said Ilitch Sports + Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Emily Neenan. “From ice skating to face painting to autographs from legendary Red Wings players, there will be something for everyone. We’re looking forward to bringing our community together for this festive event.”
The festival will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including skating opportunities on the Little Caesars Arena main ice, with food and beverages available for purchase inside and outside. Food and beverage items will be 25 percent off event-day prices, and ticketed fans will enjoy a 10 percent discount at the Team Store.
Fans wishing to skate on the Little Caesars Arena ice should reserve their time slot as soon as possible. Those interested are encouraged to bring their own skates, as rental quantities are limited.
Other activities will include interactive hockey zones and indoor inflatable obstacle courses and slides, music provided by DJ Myint, caricature artists, face painters, Red Wings alumni autograph signings, an inflatable toddler playland and much more.
Numerous photo opportunities will be available throughout Little Caesars Arena. Other features include a First Responders zone, an ice carving demonstration, box hockey and more.
To celebrate Black History Month, fans can head over to PORTAL 8 and experience an interactive curated exhibit detailing the history of Black players who have donned the Winged Wheel, where their achievements and impact will be commemorated.
A discounted parking rate of $8 is available in the Temple West Garage (123 W Temple St) and Little Caesars Arena Garage (165 Sproat St), and can be reserved in advance on ParkWhiz.com.
