Pure 9 7 26
Hello…I decided to try on a new ‘dateline’ since I can never remember the last number I used
for an article…is that okay? I mean, if that bothers anyone that may be a loyal reader (and I
know there are those of you out there – please realize and know how much I respect your
support and appreciate you dealing with my scribble and scrawl, THANK YOU!!!!!), please send
me an email or a message or a carrier pigeon and I will try my best to get my stuff together in a
professional and unpaid/should be acting like paid manner…
I have been going back and forth as to how address an elephant that not only entered a room,
but literally broke down the entryway, destroyed the IKEA furniture, and proceeded to make its
way to the chairman’s suite…yes, y’all, I am talking about Michigan and the fiasco that was
versus the Western Michigan Broncos of the Mid American Conference…
But you know what? The more I read – which includes the official announcements and
proclamations from the Top Dog of the MAC, the PR arm worth more than Steve Austin’s
replacement limb outta the 6 Million Dollar Man from back in the day of the Big
Ten/14/18/unknown future member number, and every single wannabe internet/social
media/insta warrior out there between the actual moment in question and up until the shade
thrown upon the situation during the power outage at FSU on Monday night (yep, they went for
the cheap thrill worse than the masseuse that didn’t want to honor the happy hour ending
special but still figured the free squishy would suffice…it wouldn’t, bad move) – the more I wade
through the back and forth of the trash more dangerous and toxic than a landfill in Gatlinburg,
TN after Labor Day weekend (trust me, you can SMELL the trash no matter where you drive in a
22.6 mile radius of Sevier County after the tourists have vacated the rental cabins…it is worse
than sleeping next to a pregnant woman that is gaseous after a craving run to Taco Bell during
bad lettuce season…way way way worse…)… the more I read, the more I just want to say one
single word…type one single word…SHARE one single word…
STOP.
Why do we always have to look for a conspiracy theory whenever anything controversial
happens??? Seriously…why do we, as a society, have to always take the low road and take the
opportunity to just be ugly and to hate and to tell everyone out there that your opinion (not you,
Momma De, you would never…) is better and if anyone doesn’t agree they belong in a landfill in
rural Ohio (no shade to Buckeye fans that have been celebrating this as Michigan ‘cheating’,
but, yeah, um, yeah…)? Why?
STOP.
Look, here is the fact of the matter…the final score was 13-12. That is indisputable. Okay? That
is the final entry into the ledger. Period. No matter which side you were rooting for, which team
you support, and whatever team you hate more than a hemorrhoid during your honeymoon to
the Carribean, the game is over. It is done. Both teams are moving on. The score is final.
Period.
So….Stop…STOP!
You want to debate the ending? You want to disagree? OMG, that is your right, and I applaud
you for venting your opinion and to share your voice, no doubt 🙂 I did that in the past when
Michigan got screwed in a Rose Bowl and when I didn’t want to see Jax in Sons of Anarchy
ending the show they way he seemingly did and when Batman sacrificed himself in ‘Dark
Knight Rises…I railed and argued and vented that the endings shouldn’t have been what they
were, and while I didn’t understand why (whilst was the better word there, BPaul…sorry, it would
have been), I had to ultimately accept it all.
Period. So…STOP.
The end that is the end is the end, like it or not. I wish – and I mean this as a Michigan fan that
cried like a baby when they won the Natty and whenever they have beaten Notre Dame or Ohio
State or when they lost to anyone – I wish the WMU Broncos would have won the game.
Seriously. WMU deserved to win. Period. The Broncos outplayed the overpaid, overrated
Michigan Wolverines. I admit it. But…they didn’t. They didn’t finish. The Broncos didn’t cross the
finish line.
Period. So………stop.
It is over. Let’s move on. And you know what??? For all of the hate and vile surrounding this
event, it allows something for us all to embrace – let’s just embrace the fact that we (you, me,
anyone out there in social media) don’t have a true voice or influence in any of anything that
ultimately takes place…seriously…we are just…well…we are just, US…we are just, we…
In the end of things, we are just all a part of a lot of things we cannot control; including the clock
of a certain game in Ann Arbor, MI at the beginning of September, and anything beyond our
ability to make a difference. So….
I am going to not argue or debate or hate or gripe…I am, indeed, going to choose to make a
difference where I can though…I hope you do as well 🙂 And if we can’t get our dateline in order,
maybe we can at least get our respect and love and care for each other in order 🙂
Peace mditon.edwards@gmail.com is my email…I invite discussion and debate, but
ALWAYS value your support and dialogue Please continue to support my platform at South

in advance for sharing with others.
