Michael Diton-Edwards
Hello dear readers…
Have you ever just asked, “Why?”
That is such an open-ended question, I am positive that 99.9% of you would answer yes with the only absenters being the glue sniffers in the back that troll on here just to try and give SFT and my efforts a bruise for no reason other than they have nothing better to do (but I am grateful you are at least out there, friend, Imao). Why?
WHY????
Why do we try? Why do we wake up in the morning, get out of bed, go about our day, and repeat it the next day more diligently than a robot programmed to do so?
WHY???
Pete Lambert is a MLB pitcher with the Houston Astros during the 2026 season…prior to this year he was pitching in Japan and just trying to eke out a living and make his way back to America and the major leagues…and guess what? Dude did enough (if you look at his numbers in Tokyo, they are worse than your 7th starter on Nintendo’s All Star Baseball during the super nintendo days, but it isn’t my money to sign him) to get the Houston Astros to give him a contract back in the states, so good for him!!! Way to go, Lambert! And you know what? For the bulk of 2026 he delivered a positive return on investment for a team that needed him to deliver…until he did not. In his last start, Pete Lambert was worse than the contracted waiter with open cold sores and a sneezing fit bigger than a Pacific Rim volcano working the welcome dinner at the opening of Tay-Tay’s and Ariana’s joint stock-holder bash for their amusement park in downtown Nashville. In short, without boring you with numbers that are only important to fantasy owners (yeah, me….yeah…), daily fantasy tourney players, and Pete’s 3 illegitimate kids’ baby momma waiting on the support check, Pete Lambert pooped the bed worse than a meth-head in Evansville, IN after eating a cache of Taco Bell during the Lettuce blowout fiasco.
Pete Lambert stunk. He stunk worse than a co-worker on a crowded line in a factory that forgot to NEVER trust a fart…NEVER!!!!!!!! (it happens, but, dang y’all, NEVER trust a fart, you know…)
But guess what???
Pete Lambert won’t give up. He will toe the rubber again when given the chance. He will.
I don’t know when that will be, and it doesn’t matter for the purposes of this article – all I know is that Pete was willing to fight for his career, for his dream, and he won’t cave now…he ended up in the gutter for one game and he stunk worse than a 426 pound Marine on a submarine after
eating expired chicken in the nachos, but there is no way Pete is going to not clean up best he can and make the most of the next opportunity he is given.
Why would he try after failing? Why?
Why = because he has been trying up to this point, and to quit now would be more foolish than yours truly denying a friend request from a certain ex-Friends’ actress with the initials of J A (I am still abiding by my court-ordered restrictions, sorry). Why? Pete will keep plugging away because he HAS to do so…he has put in too much work and effort and belief in himself NOT TOO do so
Hey…guess what?
your day
No matter what, you have not been as bad as Pete lately. I believe that…if you were, in and your job and your life, okay, but Pete was stinky bad like than Sirachi plant that threatened to shut down an entire city when it was at its peak…again, you were not that STANKY I hope…but…
But…
If you were as bad or worse…guess what…when someone asks you why, please answer with something along the lines of, “Because my failure(s) is not (are not) me…”
Seriously…
Or you can crawl into a hole and just give up…
Please don’t do that…own the mistakes…learn from them…be like Pete…toe the rubber the next chance that somebody gives you the ball…because, friend, guess what? In life, you will ALWAYS be given another opportunity…seriously…just grab the ball, grip it, and rip the hell out of it – and that is WHY you have to, because you CAN 🙂
