PISTONS GT’S ANT, BAGMOTION AND CONNOR NAMED TO NBA 2K LEAGUE ALL-STAR TEAM WEST

DETROIT, Mich. ­– The NBA 2K League announced today that the Pistons Gaming Team’s (Pistons GT) Anthony “Ant” Costanzo, Ja’Ron “Bagmotion” Baylor and Connor “Connor” Hardin were named to the NBA 2K League All-Star Team West. The trio will take part in the third annual NBA 2K League All-Star event which will be held in New York City at the NBA’s Headquarters in midtown Manhattan on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.

The invite-only 2023 NBA 2K League All-Star event will include both 5v5 and 3v3 gameplay formats and will award a total of $30,000 to participants. The 5v5 portion of the event will be a single game matchup played on NBA 2K24’s 5v5 Pro-Am mode.  The 3v3 competition will be a four-team bracket of best-of-three series, with players competing on NBA 2K24’s 3v3 Pro-Am mode. 

Pistons GT was the only NBA 2K League team with three players voted into the All-Star Game. Ant and Bagmotion will also serve as two of the four 3v3 captains after finishing in the top four of All-Star fan votes.

An NBA 2K League MVP-finalist, Ant led Pistons GT in scoring and assists in both 3v3 and 5v5 play, averaging 12.3 points and 2.1 assists in 3v3 and 26.2 points and 11.9 assists in 5v5. His 2023-24 campaign included SLAM Open MVP honors and back-to-back Player of the Week nominations in 5v5 play. He set a season-high 22 points in 3v3 play against Dallas on April 7 and recorded a season-high 42 points vs. Jazz Gaming on June 28.

Known for his defensive prowess, Bagmotion led Pistons GT in steals in 5v5 play, averaging 1.6 steals a game. He set a season-high five steals against Indiana on May 25 and swiped four-plus steals on four different occasions. Bagmotion also averaged 11.2 points in 5v5 play and 3.6 points in 3v3 play.

In his rookie campaign, Connor set an NBA 2K League record for most points scored by a power forward in 3v3 play after an 18-point performance against Bucks Gaming on March 23. He then bested his own record by scoring a career-high 21 points vs. Blazer5 Gaming on April 12. Connor averaged 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 3v3 play and 10.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 5v5 mode.
