Perry Earns Multiple Honors for his Saturday Performance

BOCA RATON, Fla. – On Monday, Florida Atlantic University quarterback N’Kosi Perry saw his name recognized among three different lists. He earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors by Conference USA voters, was chosen as College Sports Madness Player of the Week for the league, and is a candidate for the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week – which is voted on by the fans, by “liking” his picture at the link below – as well.

In the Owls’ 38-6 win this past Saturday over Georgia Southern, his second start as an Owl and first before a home crowd, Perry recorded four touchdowns and 332 yards through the air, on 19-of-27 passing (70.4%). He easily moved the ball downfield, with on four of his nine drives culminating in touchdowns, and no three-and-out drives.

The Ocala, Florida native and grad student guided an Owls’ offense that totaled 541 yards and had possession a commanding 33:50 minutes versus a triple option opponent. For his individual accolades, Perry became the first FAU quarterback to pass for over 300 yards since Dec. 20, 2019, and connected with wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, the game’s top receiver, for 124 yards (Wester became the first Owls’ receiver to have 100 yards in a single game since Dec. 7, 2019).
