CATS STATS

  • The Panthers look to snap a six-game winless streak against CAR (0-4-2) as they prepare to host the Hurricanes for their final matchup of the season series. Two of Florida’s three home games against the Hurricanes this season at BB&T Center (0-1-2) were decided in shootout or overtime. The Cats have allowed at least three goals in each match-up vs. CAR this season. Aleksander Barkov has produced a team-leading four goals and eight points through the season series.
  • Florida has won seven of its last eight home games (7-1-0). Over their eight home games since March 20, the Panthers own an 84.2 home penalty kill percentage and have out-scored their opponents 28-12. Over the Cats’ last eight games, Anthony Duclair (1-7-8) and Frank Vatrano (5-3-8) have posted a team-leading eight points, while Vatrano and Aleksander Barkov have led the club with five goals each.

  • Aleksander Barkov has produced eight goals and 11 points (8-3-11) over his last 11 games and four points (3-1-4) over his last four. He has scored three goals over his last two games. With a two-goal game on April 22 vs. CAR, Barkov became the first Panthers player to reach the 20- goal mark this season. Barkov has registered at least 20 goals in six consecutive seasons.

  • Jonathan Huberdeau ranks first on FLA in points (50), assists (34) and power-play points (19). He has registered points in each of his last six games (2-6-8) and with a point tonight he can tie MacKenzie Weegar for the longest point streak by a Panthers player this season (seven games, March 7- 20). Over his six game-point streak, Huberdeau owns a +8 rating, seven takeaways and a 14.3 shooting percentage. With an assist on April 22 vs. CAR, Huberdeau recorded his 50th point of the season, becoming the second Central Division player this season to reach the 50-point mark. Huberdeau has recorded 50 points in a season six times in his career. Huberdeau has registered 26 points (9-17-26) over 30 career games vs. CAR.
  • Anthony Duclair enters tonight’s game with points in seven of his last eight games, amassing 10 points in that span (3-7-10), including points in four of his five games (2-6-8) since he returned to the lineup from injury on April 13 at DAL. Over Duclair’s last eight games, he owns a +12 rating, and has registered all 10 of his points at even-strength. The native of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, owns a +19 rating this season, the second-highest on FLA.
  • Sam Bennett has registered five points (3-2-5) and 15 hits over his first four games with Florida and has scored three goals over his last three games. Bennett is the third Panthers player this season and the 12th in franchise history to record at least one point in each of his first three games with the club, joining Patric Hornqvist and Carter Verhaeghe. In his Panthers debut on April 17 at TBL, the 24-year-old registered two assists, a +3 rating and five hits. Acquired from CGY on April 12, Bennett has recorded points in seven of his last eight games played, amassing 10 points over that span (3-7-10).
  • Frank Vatrano enters tonight’s game with four points (2-2-4) over his last four games and has produced seven goals and 10 points over his last 12 games. The 27-year-old native of East Longmeadow, Mass., leads the Cats with six game-winning goals and ranks tied for second on FLA in goals (17), while tied for first in even-strength goals (15). Vatrano is three goals shy of his second career season with at least 20 goals.
  • Sergei Bobrovsky has posted five wins over his last eight starts, logging a .921 save percentage and .932 even-strength save percentage over that span. He is five wins shy of his 300th NHL win, joining Evgeni Nabokov (353) and Nikolai Khabibulin (333) as only the third Russian-born goaltender to earn 300 wins in the NHL. Bobrovsky’s 17 wins on the season rank tied for sixth in the NHL.
  • Patric Hornqvist leads FLA with eight power play goals and ranks fourth on the Panthers with 32 points (14-18-32). Hornqvist has produced points in each of his last four games played (2-2-4).
