PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES

Forward Anton Lundell

On looking forward to next game:

“We have a very competitive team. We just want to win. Of course, it’s a little frustrating, but something we get energy from. I’m sure we are going to come into next game with a fresh mind.”

Forward Aleksander Barkov

On today’s loss:
“I think we battled hard, we played a good game but obviously not [our] best game. We didn’t do the right things for 60 minutes. We had some bad plays in that game that cost us a few goals and a few momentum changes.”

On Jonathan Huberdeau’s season:
“You know he is going to get the puck; you just need to get open, and he is going to find you. He has been unreal, not just this season, but has been really good his whole career. Obviously, this season, he is more confident than ever. It is a lot of fun to see him play and see him make those plays and create chances.”
Interim Head Coach Andrew Brunette

On learning from losses:
“I think you get in these little stretches during the season, you need to realize how hard it is to win in this league… every little puck counts, every little play counts.”

On today’s game:
“I thought there were pretty good shots, pretty good looks… Just goes through the course of the year. Games like tonight, we might’ve got six or seven early in the year. So, we kind of got spoiled, some fortunate bounces. On nights like tonight, when you don’t get the six or seven, you’ve got to make sure they don’t get four. And we didn’t do that.”
