PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES – JAN. 26, 2021

Head Coach Joel Quenneville

“Start to finish we deserved that win tonight. We did a lot of great things. I liked our pace, I liked our purpose.”

“All kinds of good things happened in the win. There are some areas we could still look to improve upon, but I like the consistency of our game and some guys are really, really playing well.”

“Comparable to our last game. We got the win. They had the lead in the third (period) and all of a sudden we are chasing it, but finding a way to win is a good sign.”

Forward Aleksander Barkov

“(Forward Patric Hornqvist) He’s been huge for us so far and will be huge for us the whole season.”

“We’ve just got to work hard and play our own game, not get too satisfied yet.”

“We had good looks on the power play and the penalty kill was huge for us. (Forward Noel Acciari) blocking shots, defensemen blocking shots, (Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky) Bob was great in the net on the penalty kill he gave us a chance to go into overtime and win (in the shootout).”

Forward Patric Hornqvist

“This was a huge win for us. Over the 65 minutes we played really good hockey, and when you keep doing that for that long you know its going to get rewarded. We got the win in the shootout, we came back and we came back strong and we did the right things all over the ice for 65 minutes.”

“It’s always fun to score big goals and help the team win. That’s my job and I will try to help this team to win every single time I’m on the ice.”
