PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES – FEB. 17, 2021

Head Coach Joel Quenneville

“Really good start to our season. A lot of good things have happened here. I thought across the board, sticking with it down 2-0 when it looked like it completely got away from us late in the first [period]. We hung in there, and chipped our way back into the game.”

“Nice to see Lammy [forward Juho Lammikko] get his first goal, that line was effective.”

“He [forward Jonathan Huberdeau] had an outstanding game. He did a lot of good things…The pass was the highlight for me. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a play like that.”

“Everyone is bringing it every single night. We’re not just relying on one line or one guy.”

“Tonight was one of those games that we’ll remember, knowing that it’s a tough building to win in against a team that’s playing well. It’s tough to come into this building and get two [points].”

Forward Juho Lammikko

“It felt pretty good. It’s been a long time, but we got the win, a really good comeback. Just keep going to Detroit (on Friday and Saturday).”

“Just how skilled he [forward Jonathan Huberdeau] is, how smart of a player he is and what he can do with the puck. It’s really nice to play with him on the same team, it’s nice to watch.”

“It’s fun to play, do whatever it takes to win the hockey games and have fun.”

Forward Jonathan Huberdeau

“Being down 2-0, it’s a big response by us. After the first period we just came back into the room and didn’t panic, came back to our structure. Some good goals, came back, Driegs [goaltender Chris Driedger] was good in net, a team win and a huge two points for us.”

“I saw Wenny [forward Alex Wennberg] coming in, I had done a little spin-o-rama before and it just hit his tape, I was fortunate.”

“I think he’s [goaltender Chris Driedger] been really good in every game he’s played. A big save at the end, I think we needed that at that point. He comes out of his net really well and I think he worked out well for us.”

“We’re feeling good, it’s a lot more fun when you win. I think that’s what we’re doing, I think we’re playing as a team, everybody’s supporting each other. It makes it fun. We’ve got to keep going, we’ve got two more games in Detroit and finish the road trip the right way.”
