OWLS IN REVIEW

Since knocking off No. 22 Miami on Feb. 28, the Owls have fallen on hard times. Sweeps at the hands of UCONN and No. 6 Florida have grounded FAU to a record of 7-6.

WHO’S HOT

Nolan Schanuel became the sixth player in program history to hit three home runs in a game on Tuesday against Florida. Schanuel leads the Owls in nearly every offensive category including avg. (426), HR (6), RBI (19), and OBP% (.557).

Jackson Ross had four hits on Tuesday including a solo HR in the ninth inning. Ross is up to five homers for the season, two short of the seven he finished with in 2022.

Tyler Murphy made his first career start on Wednesday and held No. 1 ranked offense in Division I scoreless for two innings. Murphy is expected to start again on Sunday.

Sam Drumheller contributed two scoreless innings in Tuesday’s 18-11 defeat. Drumheller is yet to allow an earned run in 9.1 innings so far this season.

THE OPPONENT

Harvard is coming off a four-game sweep at the hands of FIU. The Crimson have lost six straight overall. The Owls will be just their third opponent overall. Prior to FIU, Harvard dropped three of four against Pittsburgh in Port Charlotte, Fla.

OPPONENT HISTORY

The Owls have won all seven meetings all-time against Harvard, the last coming in 2007.

UPCOMING

FAU will face Bradley for a midweek matchup on Wednesday before heading to San Antonio to start C-USA play against UTSA on Friday.
