Owls Stay Ranked At No. 10 in the AP Poll

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team remains ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, as announced by the AP on Monday afternoon.

On Nov. 8, the Owls opened their 2023-24 campaign with a 75-62 win in the Barstool Invitational over Loyola Chicago. FAU was keyed by a strong defensive performance and four players scoring in double figures, led by Vladislav Goldin’s 19 points along with 10 rebounds, five blocks, and four steals. Nick Boyd added 13 while Johnell Davis and Brandon Weatherspoon both scored 12. 

Head coach Dusty May and the team will face two opponents this week for their first games of the season at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena: Eastern Michigan (Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.) and Bryant (Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.). Florida Atlantic will travel to Kissimmee, Fla. to compete in the ESPN Events Invitational from Thursday, November 23 – Sunday, November 26. On Thanksgiving day, the Owls will face Butler on ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m.
