BOCA RATON, Fla. – A big weekend is ahead for the Florida Atlantic University softball team. The Owls, who are currently tied for second place in the Conference USA standings at 12-6, will host North Texas for the final home series of 2023.
The weekend series will mark the first games officially played at newly named Joan Joyce Field. Florida Atlantic recently renamed its home after its longtime legendary head coach. Joyce led FAU for 28 years and is a member of 21 Halls of Fame.
Sunday will also be the Owls’ Senior Day, as FAU will honor its nine seniors in Maya Amm, Sommer Baker, Maddie Carlock, Sara Berthiaume, Olivia Peterson, Lynn Gardner, Caryssa Orland, Riley Ennis and Raegan Conley. Saturday, FAU is hosting the Owls in the Outfield event, and Friday is FAU Staff Apprecation Night.
