BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball head coach Jennifer Sullivan has announced five signees to National Letters of Intent as the first signees of the Owls 2024 signing class.
“We are thrilled to be adding this talented group to our roster next year,” expressed head coach Jennifer Sullivan. “These five athletes bring a variety of skills, size, and the intangibles that we want in our program. In addition to their basketball abilities, these young women are wonderful people that come from amazing families. They are great students that will be difference-makers in our FAU community.”
Lovisa Asbrink Hose
Center | 6-6 | Stockholm, Sweden | Lulea Gymnasieskola
Lovisa Asbrink Hose arrives in Paradise from Stockholm, Sweden and played at Lulea Gymnasieskola.
Lulea Gymnasieskola is the best and most accomplished high school for basketball in Sweden. Hose also competed on the U16 and U18 Swedish national teams. As a senior, Hose averaged 15.5 points per game, while also nearly averaging a double-double with 9.8 rebounds per game and tallying 1.5 blocks per game.
In addition to her high school play, Hose also competed at the club level with RIG Lulea.
“Lovisa is a true center and a skilled player who can make a major impact on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor,” expressed coach Sullivan. “Her mobility, rebounding potential and scoring ability at her size is a rarity. Defensively, she will be a great rim protector and she brings a high basketball IQ and understanding of her position.”
Emaya Lewis

Emaya Lewis, a native of Loganville, Georgia, joins the Owls as a four-year letterwinner from Loganville High School. In 2021, Lewis helped lead the Red Devils to a regional championship.
In addition to her high school career, Lewis also competed at the club level with Team Huncho NXT-GEN.
While at Florida Atlantic, Lewis plans to study biology.
“Emaya is a very gifted stretch forward that has both good size and athletic ability,” said coach Sullivan. “Her skill-set fits in our offense very well because she is a post player that also has very good perimeter skills. She can comfortably handle the ball on the perimeter and stretch the floor, shooting from the three-point line.”
Sydney Mains
Guard | 5-10 | Knoxville, Tenn. | Knoxville Catholic
Sydney Mains from Knoxville, Tennessee, is a four-year letterwinner from Knoxville Catholic High School.
Mains had a prolific prep career at Knoxville Catholic, playing under her father and head coach, Travis Mains. She helped lead the Fighting Irish to a 2023 State Championship, while also reaching the state semifinals in 2022, finishing as the 2021 runner-up state champions, and claiming three regional championships.
Throughout her high school career, Mains has received numerous accolades, including being named a three-time All-State Team, three-time All-Region Team, two-time Underclassman of the Year, Region Player of the Year, in addition to being recognized as a two-time finalist for Tennessee Miss Basketball and Lady Classic MVP.
As an Owl, Mains plans to study communications.
“Sydney is an elite shooting guard. She is a proven winner and one of the best pure shooters in the 2024 class. Her basketball IQ, work ethic, and ability to consistently make shots are just a few reasons why we are excited to welcome her to our FAU family.”
Erin Rodgers
Guard | 6-0 | Lawrenceville, Ga. | Grayson
Erin Rodgers, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, is a four-year letterwinner Grayson High School. As a freshman, Rodgers was named honorable mention all-region. During her sophomore season, Erin had a standout year, posting 16 points per game, while also turning in eight rebounds per game and two steals per game, receiving First Team All-Region recognition, in addition to earning Dacula Tip-off Classic and War Badge Invitational MVP honors. This past season, Erin was named Gwinnett Super 6. Off the court, Erin is a member of the National Honor Society.
In addition to her high school play, Erin also competed at the club level with FBC and Team Huncho.
While at Florida Atlantic, Rodgers plans to study business.
“Erin is an athletic wing we believe can be an impact player for us. She can score at all three levels and brings amazing size on the perimeter. Erin has not even scratched the surface, we’re very excited to work with her and witness her growth.”
Alana Rouser
Post | 6-0 | Madison, Miss. | Germantown
Alana Rouser arrives in Paradise from Madison, Mississippi, as a four-year letterwinner from Germantown High School. Rouser helped lead the Mavericks to a 2022-23 state championship, while also securing four district championships over her four-year career with Germantown. She is a three-time 6A All-State honoree and four-time All-Region honoree, in addition to being named the 2022 Region 4-6A Player of the Year, MS Elite 11, and a 2023 MHSAA All-Star. She also received numerous player of the week and local All-Area Team honors.
During her freshman season, Rouser posted 13.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. As a sophomore, she averaged a career-best 13.2 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. Last season, she tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds per game during her junior season.
In addition to her high school play, Rouser also competed at the club level with Mavs Elite Arkansas.
“Alana is a strong mobile post player with great hands,” expressed coach Sullivan. “She moves and runs the floor well, and she’s a terrific rebounder. Her efficiency around the rim, in addition to her tenacity in the paint and on the glass will make an immediate impact on our team’s interior identity.”
