O’Cyrus Torrence Selected to AP All-America First Team
Torrence becomes only the fourth Gators offensive lineman to earn AP First-Team honors

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – Florida offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence continues to collect postseason honors, becoming the first Gators offensive lineman to be named to the Associated Press All-America First Team since Mike Pearson in 2001, the AP announced Monday.

Torrence joins Pearson (2001), Jason Odom (1995), and Lomas Brown (1984) as the only Florida offensive lineman to be named to the AP All-America First Team.

Last week, Torrence earned All-SEC First Team, AP All-SEC First Team, Walter Camp All-America First Team, and Football Writers Association of America Second Team Offensive All-America team honors.

A native of Greensburg, La., Torrence started in 11 games this season, allowing zero sacks or quarterback hurries during the 2022 campaign. He also didn’t commit a penalty this fall, and was the highest graded guard in the country according to Pro Football Focus with an 88.2 grade.

Torrence, who played right guard, anchored an offensive line that paved the way as the program averaged 5.8 yards per carry and 213.7 rushing yards per game, both amongst the best in program history.
