OAKLAND LANDS 132 STUDENT-ATHLETES ON HORIZON LEAGUE SPRING 2020 HONOR ROLL

INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced the Spring 2020 Academic Honor Roll in which the Golden Grizzlies tallied the second most student-athletes in the conference at 132. The Honor Roll is comprised of 1,064 student-athletes representing all 10 Horizon League institutions and each of the 19 league-sponsored sports.

Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).

Milwaukee heads the list with 147 student-athletes on the academic Honor Roll. Oakland (132), Youngstown State (122), IUPUI (113), Cleveland State (105) and Northern Kentucky (105) reached triple digits in student-athletes being recognized. Sports with the most representation were women’s track and field/cross country with 156 student-athletes while women’s soccer had 133 members. Men’s soccer was the third-highest group with 92 honorees.
