Tempe, Ariz.
– It may have come a week later than expected, but Lynn University’s women’s tennis team has claimed the No. 1 position in Division II with the latest release of the Oracle/ITA National Rankings on Wednesday. The Blue and White move up three spots from No. 4.

Since last week’s release, the Fighting Knights have posted wins over then-No. 1 Barry (5-2), No. 12 Florida Southern (7-0) and Tampa (7-0) to remain undefeated on the season at 16-0. Lynn holds a 7-0 mark in conference play and has taken down seven ranked opponents.

Four of the teams ranked in the top five hail from the Sunshine State Conference, featuring Barry at No. 2, Saint Leo at No. 3 and Nova Southeastern at No. 5.

Leolia Jeanjean makes another huge jump in the national singles rankings, moving up 15 spots to No. 25. Ulyana Grib debuts for the first time this season, coming in at No. 35. Natalia Siedliska drops to No. 56 while Eleonora Liga debuts at No. 58.

The Fighting Knights are still without a ranked doubles squad.
