NSU Hall of Fame Welcomes Five New Inductees

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Athletic Department and NSU Athletics Hall of Fame Committee proudly inducted five new members to the Hall of Fame on Saturday evening from the Rick Case Arena. The 2021 NSU Athletics Hall of Fame class includes Danielle Robinson (Women’s Basketball), Hollie Bonewit-Cron (Swimming), Esau Simpson (Swimming), Lauren Boudreau (Women’s Rowing) and Abbey Gittings (Women’s Golf).

“Congratulations to all five inductees enshrined into our NSU Athletics Hall of Fame,” stated Athletic Director and Vice President for Advancement, Michael Mominey. “In celebration of our 40th year of athletics, there is no better tradition or event that honors the accomplishments and accolades of our best student-athletes and coaches.”

The Hall of Fame ceremony is in correlation with the 40th anniversary of Nova Southeastern Athletics. NSU Athletics’ storied history dates to 1982 and, since its inception, has enjoyed tremendous success. In the 40 years following Nova University Athletics humble beginnings, the department has grown to support 16 varsity athletic teams, winning a total of eight team NCAA National Championships and 27 individual national titles across its sports.

The Nova Southeastern University intercollegiate athletic department Hall of Fame was introduced in 2007 with its inaugural induction class. The Hall of Fame is designed to encompass the notable history of and accomplishments of the NSU Knights (1982-2004) and the present-day Sharks, while recognizing former coaches, student-athletes, and pioneers of the program that built the tradition of Nova Southeastern Athletics.

Listed below are the members of the 2021 Nova Southeastern Athletics Hall of Fame Class:
