INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay’s Caitlyn Hibner is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after the junior guard posted 20 points and seven rebounds for the Phoenix in a victory over SEC foe Missouri on Saturday afternoon. Oakland’s Sydney Gouard averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies in two victories this week, shooting above 70 percent from the floor. Gouard is the Nike® Freshman of the Week for the first time this season.

After missing the entire 2018-19 season due to injury, Caitlyn Hibner seemed to be back to 100 percent on Saturday in Green Bay’s 72-64 win over Missouri. The guard scored a career-high 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds in 33 minutes. She finished 8-for-13 from the field and buried three triples in the Phoenix victory over the SEC squad.

Gouard averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds while shooting staggering 13-for-18 (72.2%) from the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range (60%) and 6-for-6 (100%) from the free throw line helping Oakland go 2-0 for the week with wins over Concordia and Chicago State. Against Concordia, Gouard recorded her first career double-double with a game and career-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting with a career-high 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals leading Oakland to a 76-42 win. In Oakland’s 98-70 win over Chicago State, she scored 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line along with seven rebounds helping the Golden Grizzlies to their second straight win.
