INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI’s Macee Williams is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after she averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in a pair of road contests for the Jags, including scoring 28 at Ball State on Monday. UIC’s Jaida McCloud earned Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors, posting a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Flames on Saturday at Western Michigan.

Macee Williams averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds for IUPUI as the Jags went 1-1 over the week. In IUPUI’s win against Ball State, Williams scored 28 points on 13-for-17 from the field and pulled in 10 rebounds. Against Notre Dame, Williams finished with 10 rebounds and scored eight points. Williams dished out two assists in each game and finished the Notre Dame game with three steals and a block.

Jaida McCloud had her best outing yet on Saturday at Western Michigan, pouring in a game-high 26 points alongside 10 rebounds and a pair of steals for her first double-double as a Flame. The freshman shot 11-of-22 overall and was 1-of-3 from beyond the arc against the Broncos. McCloud has reached double-digits in all three games for the Flames so far.
