NIKE® #HLMBB PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (NOVEMBER 11)

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 11, 2019) – Oakland sophomore Daniel Oladapo made his Golden Grizzlies debut and averaged 13.8 points and 7.5 rebounds and guided Oakland to a 3-1 start to be named #HLMBB Player of the Week, while Green Bay’s Amari Davis scored 15 points in a Phoenix win and shot 12-of-18 from the field for the week to start his collegiate career and earned #HLMBB Freshman of the Week as the Horizon League announced its first men’s basketball weekly honors of the 2019-20 season on Monday.

Daniel Oladapo | Oakland | Sophomore | Forward | Bladensburg, Md.

Oladapo led the Golden Grizzlies over the course of their four-game week averaging 13.8 points and 7.5 rebounds to guide Oakland to a 3-1 record to start the season. The sophomore went 54 percent (20-of-37) from the floor and averaged 1.3 steals per game. Oladapo made his Oakland debut with a double-double recording 21 points and 12 boards in a 94-66 win over Goshen. The Bladensburg native averaged 11.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in the Sunshine Slam tournament to help guide Oakland to 2-1 record over the weekend.

#HLMBB Freshman of the Week

Amari Davis  | Green Bay | Freshman | Guard | Trotwood, Ohio

Davis provided a spark at 23rd-ranked Purdue, scoring 10 points off the bench on a 5-for-9 shooting in 20 minutes of action. The Trotwood, Ohio, native followed his collegiate debut with 15 points in a win over UW-Stout in only 18 minutes of action. On the week, Davis went 12-for-18 from the field and had three steals.
