Neal Receives C-USA Fall Spirit of Service Recognition

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Chaz Neal, a rising redshirt senior offensive lineman on the Florida Atlantic University football team, received Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service recognition, announced C-USA, on Monday.

Neal joined the Owls in the summer of 2021 and made an immediate impact, both on and off the field. Midway through preseason camp, he displayed his desire to make the surrounding community better by organizing and encouraging his teammates to participate in “Lift for Life” as part of the “Uplifting Athletes” program. Neal continued his outreach efforts throughout the season, a season that he earned a spot as starting offensive lineman. By season’s end, he had also volunteered for a variety of service projects such as with the Veteran Nursing Home, Charles Drew Elementary School, State Veterans Nursing Home, Project Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive and the Breaking the Chains Foundation, and he is a football representative on the FAU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Neal is expected to complete his bachelor’s degree in public safety in the Spring of 2022.
